Once upon a time, in a remote mountain village, there lived two old men. One old man was diligent and kind, working hard all his life, but could only barely make ends meet; the other old man was cunning and lazy, but lived a wealthy life by cheating and robbing. The other villagers also had their own different fates, some wealthy, some poor, forming a sharp contrast, and the phenomenon of unequal happiness and suffering was very obvious. One day, a Taoist priest who traveled around the world passed by and sighed when he saw this situation. He told the villagers that this unequal distribution of happiness and suffering was not fate, but was caused by human greed and injustice. He encouraged the villagers to help each other and work together to create a fair and harmonious society. From then on, the villagers began to help each other and work together, fairly distributing some wealthy resources, and those who were once poor gradually lived a better life. Although complete equality could not be achieved, the phenomenon of unequal happiness and suffering was significantly improved, and the mountain village became more prosperous as a result.
