Origin Story
It is said that during the Tang Dynasty, there was a poet named Li Bai whose poetic talent was unparalleled, and his name was known throughout the land. However, he had a troublesome habit: he was always indecisive about many things. One day, Li Bai was to attend an important poetry gathering, but he didn't know what clothes to wear. His closet was full of various clothes: luxurious brocade robes, simple cotton clothes, and elegant silk long gowns. He tried on one piece after another, but he couldn't make up his mind. He first tried on a brocade robe, but felt it was too flashy and ostentatious. Then he changed into simple cotton clothes, but felt they were too plain and not grand enough. Finally, he put on a silk long gown, but felt the color wasn't bright enough. Li Bai hesitated in front of his closet, pacing back and forth, unable to make up his mind. The more he thought about it, the more frustrated he became, and finally he gave up choosing, and went to the poetry gathering in ordinary clothes. At the poetry gathering, many people praised Li Bai's talent. But when someone asked him why he was dressed so plainly, Li Bai smiled awkwardly and explained, "I couldn't make up my mind, so I just wore whatever." This story illustrates that even the brilliant Li Bai could encounter situations in life where he was undecided. And each of us, when faced with such situations, should learn to make decisive decisions instead of hesitating.
