古人用箭射出的长度做度量，每箭的距离约为一百三十步左右。相当于一箭射程的距离。比喻相距不远。

在古老的时代，有一个名叫李白的少年，他生性爱好射箭，常常在山野间练习箭术。一天，他来到一个山谷，发现谷口处有一棵参天古树，树下有一块巨大的岩石。李白好奇地走近，想要攀岩登高，却发现岩石光滑陡峭，根本无法攀爬。他心生一计，用弓箭射出一支箭，将箭头深深地射入了岩石中，然后利用箭杆做支撑，慢慢地爬上了岩石。站在岩石上，李白放眼望去，只见群山连绵，云雾缭绕，景色十分壮观。他情不自禁地感叹道：“这山谷真是美不胜收，真是让人流连忘返。我离这里最近的村庄也只有一箭之地，我要回去告诉村民们，这山谷的美景，让他们也来欣赏！”
