Origin Story

汉哀帝时期，大臣夏贺良建议改元大赦，哀帝采纳后却身体不适，便反悔废除了改元诏书，只保留大赦。他认为夏贺良的建议不合时宜，最终杀了夏贺良。这个故事说明，即使是统治者，也可能因固执己见而做出错误的决定，不能灵活适应时代的变化。

During the reign of Emperor Ai of Han, Minister Xia Heliang suggested changing the era name and granting a general amnesty. Emperor Ai accepted the suggestion, but later felt unwell and regretted it, so he revoked the order to change the era name, but kept the amnesty. He considered Xia Heliang's suggestion inappropriate and eventually executed him. This story illustrates that even rulers can make wrong decisions due to stubbornness and inability to adapt flexibly to changes in the times.
