It is said that during the reign of Emperor Taizong of Tang Dynasty, General Li Jing led his troops to fight against the Turks. When the army was halfway to the battlefield, suddenly a strong wind blew, sand and stones flew all over the sky, and it was dark. The soldiers were all panicked. However, Li Jing remained calm. He carefully observed the celestial phenomenon and found that the unusual weather was not accidental, but a warning from heaven, indicating that an ominous sign was ahead. Sure enough, as the army continued to advance, they were ambushed by the Turkic army. After a fierce battle, they managed to escape safely.
