In the Tang Dynasty, there was a poet named Li Bai, who wrote poetry and drank, ignoring worldly affairs and living a carefree life. One day, an old friend found him and anxiously said: "Brother Li Bai, bad news! The court is planning reforms in the border regions recently, which is crucial to our hometown's economic development. We must find a way to deal with it!" Li Bai, after hearing this, put down his wine cup and thought seriously. He realized that his hometown's prosperity was closely related to the court's policies, and if the policies were unfavorable, the hometown would suffer enormous losses. So, he picked up his pen and wrote a letter to the court, suggesting that the court fully consider the interests of his hometown in the reforms. Eventually, the court adopted his suggestion, and his hometown was preserved, and the people lived in peace and contentment.
