话说唐朝时期，长安城里住着一位富家公子，名叫李逸。李逸生性风流倜傥，家财万贯，每日纸醉金迷，过着及时行乐的生活。他广交朋友，出入酒楼歌馆，与歌姬舞女们把酒言欢，好不快活。一日，李逸与朋友们在曲江池畔游玩，赏花饮酒，兴致正浓。忽见一位老道士，衣衫褴褛，却仙风道骨。老道士见李逸等人如此及时行乐，轻叹一声，说道：‘公子如此及时行乐，固然快活，然则人生苦短，及时行乐，可曾想过身后之事？’李逸听罢，心中一动，顿觉人生虚度，开始思考人生的意义。从此，李逸减少了享乐，开始修身养性，最终在人生的旅程中找到新的方向。
Once upon a time in the Tang Dynasty, there was a wealthy young man named Li Yi living in the city of Chang'an. Li Yi was known for his easy charm and luxurious lifestyle. Everyday, he lived a life of indulgence and pleasure. He spent his time drinking and singing in bars and clubs. One day he went to the Qujiang pool with his friends to admire the view while drinking wine. Suddenly, an old Taoist appeared. Even though he wore ragged clothes, he had a noble air. Seeing Li Yi's party enjoying themselves, the old Taoist sighed, "Young man, this is all well and good, but life is short, have you considered life after death?" Li Yi's heart stirred and suddenly felt he had wasted his life. This caused him to rethink his purpose and he cut back on his revelry and focused on self-cultivation. Ultimately, he found a new purpose in life.
