Li Shizhen, a great pharmacologist of the Ming Dynasty, dedicated his life to compiling the "Compendium of Materia Medica." However, his fate was full of twists and turns. He was frail and sickly from childhood, and suffered repeated setbacks in adulthood, repeatedly failing the civil service examinations. His career was bumpy. But he never gave up his pursuit of pharmacology, and for decades he traveled over mountains and rivers, visited famous doctors, and collected medicinal herbs, finally completing this great work of pharmacology. Li Shizhen's experience tells us that even with a difficult fate, as long as you persevere, you can ultimately realize your dreams.
