Origin Story
During the Tang Dynasty, the talented Han Yu suffered many setbacks in his career and failed to find an official position. Full of ambition, he wrote to the prime minister but received no reply for a long time. Desperate, he wrote again nineteen days later, in a letter entitled “A second letter to the prime minister nineteen days later”. In this letter, he appealed to the court to value talent and not let capable individuals be buried, as urgent as saving someone from a fire. He expressed his deep concern for the country and its people and his own aspirations through his heartfelt words. This is the origin of the idiom “to shout loudly”, which reflects Han Yu's integrity and his concern for the country and its people.
