Once upon a time, in a small mountain village, there lived an old farmer and his son. The son was naughty from a young age, disliked studying, and was idle all day long. The old farmer was worried sick, and he tried various methods to educate his son, but to little effect. One day, his son got into trouble again, and the villagers criticized him. The old farmer was distraught. He took his son's hand, and spoke to him earnestly and patiently, explaining reason, the meaning of life, proper conduct, and telling stories of heroes who dedicated their entire lives to the people. He repeated himself again and again, until the son's eyes were red and tears welled up. Finally, the son was touched by his father's genuine feelings and admitted his mistakes, promising to turn over a new leaf. The old farmer smiled with relief. He understood that persuading someone requires sincerity and heart to truly touch them.
