Origin Story

The famous Tang Dynasty poet Liu Zongyuan was demoted to Yongzhou in Hunan. In the mountains and rivers of Yongzhou, he often saw some strange sights. One day, he came to a small village and saw the villagers surrounding a bird they had never seen before, pointing and talking. This bird had bright feathers and a clear cry. The villagers had never seen such a beautiful bird and were very surprised. Liu Zongyuan patiently explained: 'This is just a bird that we seldom see. There is nothing strange about it.' The villagers suddenly realized that they had been 'rarely seen and found strange'. In fact, there are many things in this world that we don't know. Only by constantly learning and broadening our horizons can we reduce the phenomenon of 'rarely seen and found strange' and avoid being misled by some novel things.
