话说在古代一个小山村里，住着一位老农。有一天，老农家的鸡下了个双黄蛋，这在村里可是稀罕事。老农乐坏了，立刻跑去告诉他的邻居们。邻居们听到这个消息，一个个都跑来看稀奇，七嘴八舌地议论着。有人说：“这真是个好兆头！”有人说：“说不定能发财呢！”还有人说：“这鸡肯定吃了什么仙草！”总之，大家都很兴奋，纷纷猜测双黄蛋的来历。老农看着大家大惊小怪的样子，心里也美滋滋的。他心想，这下子可出名了。可是，没过几天，村里又发生了几件类似的事情，比如有人家生了对双胞胎，有人家地里长出了巨大的南瓜等等。人们一开始还大惊小怪，但渐渐地，这些稀奇事就变得司空见惯了，大家也就不再那么兴奋了。而老农也发现，当初那枚双黄蛋，也不过是一件很普通的事而已。

Once upon a time, in a small mountain village, there lived an old farmer. One day, the farmer's hen laid a double-yolk egg, which was a rare event in the village. The farmer was overjoyed and immediately went to tell his neighbors. The neighbors, upon hearing the news, all came to see the wonder, chattering away. Some said, "This is a good omen!" Some said, "Maybe we'll get rich!" Others said, "This hen must have eaten some magical herb!" In short, everyone was very excited and speculated about the origin of the double-yolk egg. The farmer, seeing everyone's surprise, was also pleased with himself. He thought, "Now I'm famous!" However, a few days later, several similar incidents occurred in the village, such as someone having twins, someone's field growing huge pumpkins, and so on. People were initially surprised, but gradually these strange events became commonplace, and everyone was no longer so excited. The farmer also realized that the double-yolk egg was just an ordinary thing.
