话说唐朝时期，有个叫李白的年轻人，他自幼聪颖好学，诗词歌赋样样精通。他虽然年少，却胸怀大志，渴望建功立业。一次，他听说朝廷正在招募人才，于是便收拾行囊，前往长安应试。路上，他遇到一位年过半百的老者，老者见他年富力强，便劝他：“年轻人，你如此年少，何必急于求成？不如先在家中好好学习，待时机成熟再出仕也不迟啊！”李白笑了笑，说：“大丈夫生于天地之间，岂能虚度光阴？我年富力强，正是建功立业的好时机，我不能浪费这大好时光！”老者听后，深受感动，便不再劝阻。最终，李白凭借自己的才华，高中状元，踏上了仕途之路，成为一代诗仙。

In the Tang Dynasty, there was a young man named Li Bai. He was intelligent and studious since childhood, and was proficient in poetry and calligraphy. Though young, he had great ambitions and yearned to achieve fame and success. Once, he heard that the court was recruiting talented people, so he packed his bags and went to Chang'an to take the examination. On the way, he met a man over fifty years old. The old man, seeing that he was young and strong, advised him: "Young man, you are so young, why are you in such a hurry? It's better to study hard at home first, and then enter the civil service when the time is ripe!" Li Bai smiled and said, "A man born between heaven and earth cannot waste his time! I am young and strong, this is the right time to achieve fame and success, I cannot waste this great opportunity!" The old man, deeply moved, stopped persuading him. Finally, Li Bai passed the examination with his talent, became the highest official, and entered the civil service, becoming one of the greatest poets.
