从前,有个小伙子名叫阿牛,他非常顽皮,不爱学习。他父亲经常教育他,要认真学习,将来才能有出息。可是阿牛总是把父亲的话当作耳边风,左耳进右耳出,从不放在心上。有一天,父亲带阿牛去拜访一位老先生。老先生见阿牛如此顽劣,便语重心长地劝诫他:“孩子,你要知道,学习是改变命运的唯一途径,只有认真学习,才能拥有美好的未来。”阿牛却依旧嬉皮笑脸,毫不在意。老先生叹了口气,说道:“哎,真是朽木不可雕也!”阿牛依旧我行我素,依然把别人的话当耳边风。后来,阿牛因为不学无术,最终一事无成,成了一个碌碌无为的普通人。

Once upon a time, there was a mischievous young man named An Niu who disliked studying. His father often told him that he should study hard to have a bright future, but An Niu always ignored his father's words. One day, his father brought him to visit an old gentleman. Seeing An Niu's unruly behavior, the old gentleman earnestly advised him, "My child, you must know that education is the key to changing your destiny. Only through hard work can you have a wonderful future." However, An Niu remained indifferent. Sighing, the old gentleman said, "Alas, a rotten log cannot be carved!" An Niu continued his way, disregarding other's advice. Because of his lack of education, he ended up unsuccessful, becoming a mediocre person.

Usage
