In the Tang Dynasty, during the Zhen Guan era, there was a scholar named Li Bai who was exceptionally talented but always found himself without opportunity to showcase his abilities. One day, he accidentally heard that the imperial court was holding a talent selection, and he excitedly prepared to travel to Chang'an to take the exam. Before his departure, his mother adorned him with red and colorful fabrics and sent him off, urging him to achieve success in the exam and bring glory to his family. Li Bai, filled with his mother's expectations, journeyed to Chang'an. After several setbacks, he finally took the exam and, thanks to his talent, won the top spot, becoming the top scholar. When the news reached his hometown, the villagers rejoiced and celebrated by donning red and colorful clothing.
