从前，在一个小山村里住着一位老木匠。老木匠技艺高超，村里人盖房子、做家具都请他帮忙。一天，村长家要翻修房屋，请老木匠来帮忙。老木匠拿着图纸，指手画脚地指挥着工人，一会儿让他们往东搬砖，一会儿让他们往西抬木料。工人们被指挥得晕头转向，效率低下，工作进展缓慢。村长在一旁看着，心中着急，心想：“这老木匠虽然手艺好，但是指挥人做事也太不讲究方法了，这样下去，房子什么时候才能修好呢？” 于是，村长走近老木匠，和气地说：“老木匠，您能不能把图纸上的尺寸和位置说得更清楚一些，不要总是指手画脚，这样工人们才能更好地理解您的意思，提高效率。”老木匠听了村长的话，认真地反思了自己的指挥方法，从此以后，他指挥工人做事时，不再指手画脚，而是认真地讲解图纸上的细节，工人们的工作效率大大提高，村长家的房子很快就修好了。
Once upon a time, in a small mountain village, lived an old carpenter. The carpenter was very skilled, and the villagers always asked him for help building houses and making furniture. One day, the village head's house needed to be renovated, and he asked the carpenter for help. The carpenter took the blueprints and directed the workers with hand gestures. This way, the workers can better understand your instructions and improve efficiency." The carpenter listened to the village head's words and seriously reflected on his directing methods. From then on, when he directed the workers, he would no longer use hand gestures, but instead would explain the details on the blueprints carefully. The workers' efficiency increased greatly, and the village head's house was soon finished.
