On one occasion, due to an altercation with a high official, Li Bai was exiled to Yelang, a long and arduous journey. Reaching the Three Gorges, he gazed upon the mighty Yangtze River, recalling his past glories and present misfortunes. Overwhelmed with grief, he beat his chest and stamped his feet, weeping aloud. He cried out, "Born with talent, I will surely find my use; even after spending a thousand gold coins, I will return!" However, he also realized his advanced age meant little chance of ever returning to court, leaving him with feelings of helplessness and regret. Li Bai's story teaches us that life is full of ups and downs, that even the most talented individuals encounter setbacks and failures.
