In an ancient kingdom, the king greatly favored his family members and was extremely averse to talented individuals who were not part of his family. To curry favor with the king, the ministers followed suit, creating a perverse atmosphere of excluding dissidents at court. A young and brilliant strategist named Zhang Liang was repeatedly marginalized due to his non-royal lineage. Many of his proposals were shelved or even slandered. Zhang Liang knew that this environment was detrimental to the nation's development, but he did not lose heart. Instead, he continued to work silently, waiting for an opportunity. Once, when a neighboring country invaded, the king was at a loss. Zhang Liang stepped forward, and his proposed strategy proved highly effective, ultimately turning the tide of the battle. The king then realized his past mistakes and began to recruit talents from all walks of life, no longer excluding dissidents. Under his governance, the country prospered.
