从前，有个书生名叫李莫愁，他从小就立志要考取功名，光宗耀祖。可是，他性格优柔寡断，学习上也是三天打鱼两天晒网。考试临近了，他心里很着急，不知道该怎么复习，一会儿想读诗词，一会儿又想看历史。他拿不定主意，在书桌前摇摇摆摆地走来走去，像个无头苍蝇一样。他一会儿拿起这本书，一会儿又放下那本书，始终没有找到学习的重点。最后，考试成绩很不理想，落榜了。李莫愁十分懊悔，他这才明白，做事要坚定目标，不能摇摇摆摆。
Once upon a time, there was a scholar named Li Mochou, who had been determined since childhood to pass the imperial examination and bring glory to his ancestors. However, he was indecisive by nature, and his studies were irregular. As the examination approached, he became anxious and did not know how to review; sometimes he wanted to read poetry, sometimes history. He could not make up his mind, and walked back and forth restlessly in front of his desk, like a headless fly. He picked up one book, then put it down; he could never find the focus of his studies. In the end, his examination results were unsatisfactory, and he failed. Li Mochou deeply regretted, and he finally understood that in doing things, one should have a firm goal and not be indecisive.
