During the Tang Dynasty, the border was in danger, and the enemy army was approaching menacingly. A young soldier named Li Bai, because of his bravery in battle, was promoted to commander of a thousand men. However, Li Bai did not become arrogant and complacent because of this; he still trained his soldiers diligently and conscientiously completed his tasks as before. In an important battle, Li Bai led his soldiers in valiant combat and ultimately achieved a glorious victory. After the war, Li Bai's reputation spread throughout the Tang Dynasty, but he remained humble and lived a low-key life. Although he had become a famous general, he still remembered that he had once been an unknown soldier.
