Once upon a time, in a remote village, there lived a man named Li Dagou. He was cunning by nature, cruel and merciless, and did all kinds of evil things to the villagers. He often stole chickens and dogs, oppressed the weak, and often used vicious words to insult others, making the villagers suffer. The villagers couldn’t stand it any longer and decided to unite to teach him a lesson. One day, Li Dagou went to steal the village chief's chickens again, but was caught red-handed by the villagers. The villagers tied him up and prepared to send him to the officials. Li Dagou saw that the situation was bad and began to beg for mercy, saying that he would never do anything bad again. The villagers saw that he was repentant and decided to spare his life. However, Li Dagou did not sincerely repent; he merely pretended to be remorseful. Not long after, he started stealing chickens and dogs again, oppressing the weak, and the villagers were completely disappointed in him. In the end, Li Dagou was punished by law.
