Once upon a time, in a small mountain village, lived a highly respected old man who always fairly and justly handled the village's disputes. One day, a dispute arose in the village, and two men, A and B, had a heated argument over a piece of land. A said that the land had been passed down from his ancestors, while B claimed that he had bought the land first. The two could not reach an agreement, and the villagers tried to persuade them, but no one could convince either party. At this point, the village head suggested inviting the old man to mediate. The old man carefully listened to both sides and examined the relevant evidence. Finally, the old man determined that the land belonged to A and rebuked B, saying that he had distorted the truth for personal gain and falsely accused a good person. B was not satisfied and still insisted on his own statement, trying to pester the old man. But the old man insisted on his judgment, upholding justice and fairness. This story tells us that right and wrong cannot be reversed; we must base ourselves on facts and treat things fairly.
