Origin Story
春秋时期,孔子在齐国讲学,有一位叫子贡的学生非常聪明,他的文章写得非常出色。有一天,子贡写了一篇文章,深受齐景公的赏识,被传遍了齐国。孔子听说了这件事,非常高兴,对其他学生说:‘子贡的文章,真可谓是脍炙人口啊!’。后来,“脍炙人口”就用来形容好的诗文或作品,受到人们的喜爱和传诵。
During the Spring and Autumn period, Confucius taught in the state of Qi. One of his students, Zigong, was very intelligent, and his articles were exceptionally well-written. One day, Zigong wrote an article that was highly appreciated by Duke Jing of Qi and spread throughout the state of Qi. Confucius heard about it and was very pleased. He said to his other students, ‘Zigong’s article is truly popular!’. Later, “kuài zhì rén kǒu” came to be used to describe good poems or works that are loved and recited by people.
