话说东汉末年，群雄逐鹿，天下大乱。曹操率军南征，与刘备在赤壁大战，结果惨败。这场战争，不仅战况惨烈，而且瘟疫横行，百姓流离失所，可谓是真正的血雨腥风。曹操退兵后，反思这场失败，意识到自己轻敌冒进，最终酿成大祸。从此以后，他更加谨慎小心，不再轻易发动战争，直到他统一北方。

Cao Cao led his army south and fought against Liu Bei in the Battle of Red Cliffs, but was ultimately defeated.
