Origin Story
During the Spring and Autumn Period, Guan Zhong was appointed prime minister by Qi Huan Gong, the ruler of the state of Qi. Under his rule, Qi became increasingly prosperous. Qi Huan Gong once asked Guan Zhong about the way to govern the country, and Guan Zhong said: To ensure the people live in peace and prosperity, they should be allowed to engage in their own professions with dedication, so that they will not be easily distracted. Guan Zhong suggested dividing the people into different residential areas according to their professions so that they could learn skills from each other and focus on their work. Qi Huan Gong followed Guan Zhong's suggestion, and the people of Qi indeed lived in peace and prosperity, and Qi flourished even more.
