Origin Story
It is said that in the State of Wei, there was a man named Sima Fu who, although possessing great wealth, was a very honest and upright person. He had a colleague named Zhang Kai who was the exact opposite, a notorious greedy and lecherous man. Zhang Kai would often show off his wealth and beautiful women to Sima Fu, but Sima Fu remained always silent, continuing his upright life. One day, Zhang Kai met Sima Fu on the road with his concubines. Arrogantly, Zhang Kai asked Sima Fu: "Sir Sima, you are busy with government affairs every day, have you ever enjoyed the beautiful things of life?" Sima Fu smiled and said: "Sir Zhang, in life, being an honest and upright official is the true beauty." Zhang Kai blushed and was speechless. From that day on, Zhang Kai began to change his behavior and was no longer so greedy and lecherous.
