Origin Story
In the Tang Dynasty, an urgent message arrived from the border: the enemy was attacking. General Li Jing, upon hearing the news, immediately assembled his troops and raced to the border, overcoming many obstacles to arrive just before the enemy breached the city walls. With skillful tactics, he decisively defeated the enemy, saving the nation. Li Jing's swift response and decisive actions became a model for later generations. Hence, "wen feng er zhi" describes someone who arrives quickly upon receiving news.
