万古长青 Wan Gu Chang Qing everlasting

Explanation

万古:千秋万代。长青:常绿,比喻永远不衰。千秋万代都象松柏一样永远苍翠。比喻崇高的精神或深厚的友谊永远不会消失。

Origin Story

传说,在远古时代,有一位名叫夸父的巨人,为了追赶太阳,走遍了山川河流。他口渴难耐,便跑到黄河和渭河去喝水,但依然解不了渴。最后,夸父倒在了沙漠中,化作了一座大山。他的精神却化作了万古长青的松柏,永远矗立在人们的心中。
