Legend has it that a long time ago, there was a monkey named Sun Wukong. He was naturally strong and had extraordinary abilities. He often played with his monkey band on the Flower and Fruit Mountain, living a carefree life. One day, Sun Wukong heard that there was a treasure called Ruyi Jingu Bang in the Dragon Palace in the East China Sea, which could change size and had infinite power. So, Sun Wukong secretly sneaked into the Dragon Palace and stole the Ruyi Jingu Bang. When the Dragon King found out, he was furious and sent his shrimp soldiers and crab generals to chase after Sun Wukong. Sun Wukong, holding the Ruyi Jingu Bang, beat the shrimp soldiers and crab generals into a rout, and finally made the Dragon Palace upside down. The Dragon King had no choice but to seek help from the Heavenly Court. When the Jade Emperor heard about it, he sent celestial soldiers and generals to subdue Sun Wukong, but Sun Wukong was a master of martial arts, and the celestial soldiers and generals were simply no match for him. Seeing how powerful Sun Wukong was, the Jade Emperor wanted to subdue him and appointed him as the Great Sage Equal to Heaven, making him manage the Peach Garden. Although Sun Wukong was appointed as the Great Sage Equal to Heaven, he was still lawless and often made mischief in the heavens and on earth. In a fit of anger, the Jade Emperor sent Erlang Shen to capture Sun Wukong. Erlang Shen had extraordinary power and a divine dog called “Barking the Sky”, which was very powerful. After a fierce battle, Sun Wukong was finally captured by Erlang Shen and was suppressed under Mount Five Elements.
