Once upon a time, a farmer worked hard for a year and finally harvested a great deal. He gave his best grain to an old man respected in the village. The old man was very happy and gave him some homemade rice wine in return. When the farmer returned home, his wife complained, "That grain was our hard work for a year, and we gave it away for nothing! That wine isn't even good, it's not as good as the one we make ourselves!" The farmer sighed; his wife didn't know good from bad and didn't understand gratitude. Later, the farmer's family suffered a disaster, but the old man helped them generously, and the wife regretted her ungratefulness.
