Origin Story
During the reign of Emperor Taizong in the Tang Dynasty, a sensational case occurred in Chang'an, the capital city. Li Chengqian, the only son of the Minister of Personnel, Li Jing, was involved in a rebellion. Though he made careful preparations beforehand, paper couldn't contain fire, and his rebellious plan was eventually discovered and quickly quelled by the emperor. However, his deeds became widely known throughout Chang'an and even the whole nation. Although Li Chengqian tried various means to cover up his crimes, the truth was evident to everyone. Eventually, Li Chengqian was reduced to a commoner and exiled to Lingnan. This incident served as a profound lesson for later generations: no conspiracy or trickery can escape the judgment of justice, and the truth always comes to light.
