In the Tang Dynasty, there was a scholar named Li Ming who traveled a long way from his hometown to Chang'an to take the imperial examinations. Before he left, his elderly parents and younger siblings came to see him off. Li Ming saw his parents' arduous steps and his younger siblings' reluctant expressions, and his heart was filled with reluctance. He knew that his parents were not in good health and that the long journey would be very tiring, so he tried his best to support his elderly parents and hold his younger siblings' hands, walking step by step. Along the way, he carefully took care of his family, giving them water and food, and protecting them from the wind and rain. Even though the journey was arduous, he never complained. Finally, his family safely reached Chang'an, and Li Ming successfully took the imperial examinations. This story reflects the traditional virtues of the Chinese people of respecting the elderly and loving the young, and also reflects Li Ming's good qualities of filial piety and care for his family.
