Origin Story

It is said that during the Tang Dynasty, there was a poet named Li Bai, who was unrestrained and disdainful of the powerful throughout his life. Once, he attended a court banquet, and the emperor bestowed upon him many treasures, but Li Bai ignored them, only focusing on chatting with his friends about poetry. Upon seeing this, the emperor was furious, and rebuked Li Bai for his lack of respect. Li Bai retorted: "Your Majesty's gifts, I have all memorized them, but my mind was not there, I did not intentionally act as if I did not see.", The emperor was extremely angry, but helpless, he had to give up. This matter was later passed down as a good story, reflecting Li Bai's independent and unyielding character.
