Origin Story
The young scholar Li Bai, who was overflowing with talent, was tired of the constraints of the imperial examination system and official career. He longed for freedom and to experience the various aspects of life. So, he bid farewell to his hometown and embarked on a journey across the country. He drifted down the Yangtze River by boat, climbed to the top of Mount Tai, made friends with people of all kinds, and tasted various flavors of life. He indulged in mountains and rivers, wrote poems and essays, drank with friends in taverns, and chatted with farmers in the fields. He treated life as a game, fully expressing his youth and talent. Sometimes he was unrestrained and uninhibited, sometimes melancholy and sentimental, but he always maintained his love for life and his pursuit of freedom. Li Bai, with his life, composed a magnificent poem on playing with life and left behind countless masterpieces, becoming an eternal idol in the hearts of literati and scholars of later generations.
