Origin Story
Once upon a time, at the foot of the majestic Mount Tai, there lived a young woodcutter named Aniu. Aniu was an honest and hardworking man. He went to the mountains to chop wood every morning and only returned home in the evening. One day, Aniu went to the mountains to chop wood as usual. When he reached the middle of the mountain, he suddenly heard a thunderous sound like a landslide. He was startled and quickly hid behind a large rock. After the loud noise subsided, he cautiously peeked out from behind the rock and saw that the valley was filled with dust and rolling stones—total chaos. Aniu thought to himself, “If I had been a little later, I would have lost my life.” But he quickly calmed down because he knew that the most important thing now was to safely descend the mountain and return to his family. He took a deep breath and carefully walked down the mountain step by step. On his way down, he met a group of panicked people, some crying, some shoving each other—complete pandemonium. Aniu looked at these panicked people and felt a surge of admiration, for although he had experienced the terrifying scene himself, he had not panicked like them, but had remained calm and composed. Aniu thought to himself, “Perhaps it was this very attitude that allowed me to safely survive this disaster.” From that day on, Aniu became stronger and braver in facing life's challenges. He always remembered that only by remaining as steady as Mount Tai can one walk more steadily and further on life’s path.
