话说唐朝时期，有个名叫李员外的富商，家财万贯，却过着穷奢极侈的生活。他每日锦衣玉食，府邸金碧辉煌，仆役成群。他沉迷于声色犬马，举办各种奢华的宴会，珍馐美馔堆积如山，美酒佳酿流淌成河。不仅如此，他还建造了规模宏大的花园，其中种植着奇花异草，珍禽异兽应有尽有。他的生活彻底脱离了百姓的日常，如同生活在另一个世界。甚至他的儿子也染上了这种奢靡之风，整日游手好闲，挥霍无度。李员外对此视而不见，只顾着自己享乐。然而，他这种穷奢极侈的生活方式，最终导致了家道中落，令人唏嘘不已。

In the Tang Dynasty, there was a wealthy merchant named Li Yuanwai, who possessed vast wealth yet lived a life of extreme luxury and extravagance. Each day he indulged in fine food and clothing, his mansion was resplendent, and he had countless servants. He was immersed in pleasure, hosting lavish banquets with mountains of delicacies and rivers of fine wine. He even built a large garden filled with rare plants and exotic animals. His life was entirely detached from that of ordinary people, as if he lived in another world. His son too fell prey to this decadent lifestyle, becoming idle and spendthrift. Li Yuanwai ignored this, focused only on his own enjoyment. However, his extreme extravagance ultimately led to the downfall of his family, a truly regrettable end.
