Once upon a time, there was a butcher who killed people without blinking an eye. He had killed countless innocent lives, and his heart was filled with guilt. One day, he accidentally heard a high monk preach, talking about the compassion and salvation of Buddhism. The butcher's heart was shocked, and he realized that he had committed heinous crimes, and decided to lay down his butcher knife and reform himself. He went to the temple, repented to the high monk, and vowed never to kill again, to change his ways and do good. Seeing that he was sincerely repentant, the high monk taught him Buddhism and guided him in meditation. After years of practice, the butcher finally laid down his butcher knife and immediately became a Buddha, becoming a compassionate Buddha.
