Origin Story
话说唐朝时期，两位著名的诗人李白和杜甫来到洛阳，游览了名胜古迹白马寺。寺内香火缭绕，气氛庄严。两人一边欣赏着寺庙的景色，一边谈论着各自的感受。李白感慨道：‘这白马寺，真是雄伟壮观，令人叹为观止啊！’杜甫却微微一笑：‘李兄所言极是，这白马寺的确宏伟，但它也承载着许多历史的沧桑，让人不由心生感慨。’两人就白马寺的感受，各抒己见，各有千秋。后来，这则故事流传开来，人们常用“见仁见智”来形容对同一件事物，不同的人有不同的看法。
During the Tang Dynasty in ancient China, two famous poets, Li Bai and Du Fu, visited Luoyang and toured the famous Baima Temple. The temple was filled with incense and had a solemn atmosphere. As they appreciated the scenery, they discussed their respective feelings. Li Bai exclaimed, “This Baima Temple is truly magnificent and awe-inspiring!” Du Fu smiled slightly and said, “Brother Li is right, this Baima Temple is indeed grand, but it also carries many historical vicissitudes that evoke emotion.” Their differing views on the Baima Temple became a well-known story, and the idiom “Jian Ren Jian Zhi” is often used to express how different people can have different opinions on the same matter.
