话说唐朝时期，长安城外有一座寺庙，香火鼎盛，每日都有无数香客前来朝拜。一天，一位年轻的僧人来到寺庙，向老住持请教佛法。老住持指着寺庙外熙熙攘攘的人群说道：“你看，这些香客，虽然来自四面八方，却都为了同一个目的而来，他们的信仰和愿望如此一致，你认为这是一种怎样的力量呢？”年轻僧人沉思片刻，回答道：“这是一种令人敬畏的力量，它源于人们内心深处的共鸣，是众心向背，异口同声的力量。这力量汇聚在一起便能创造奇迹。”老住持赞许地点了点头，说道：“你说得对，正是如此。异口同声的力量，不仅存在于宗教信仰中，也存在于国家兴亡，事业成败之中。只有人心所向，才能凝聚力量，成就伟业。”
In the Tang Dynasty, there was a temple outside Chang'an City that was very popular and attracted countless pilgrims every day. One day, a young monk came to the temple and asked the old abbot about Buddhism. The abbot pointed to the bustling crowd outside the temple and said, “Look at these pilgrims; although they come from all directions, they all come for the same purpose. Their beliefs and wishes are so united. What do you think this is the power of?” The young monk pondered for a moment and replied, “This is an awe-inspiring force, it stems from the deep resonance in people's hearts; it's the force of unity, of harmony. This force, when united, can create miracles.” The abbot nodded approvingly and said, “You are right, it is so. The power of unity is not only present in religious beliefs but also in the rise and fall of nations and the success or failure of undertakings. Only when people's hearts are united can power be gathered to accomplish great feats.”
