Origin Story
Once upon a time, in a small mountain village, there lived an old shoemaker. He was skilled in his craft, and his sturdy shoes were worn by everyone in the village. However, he was a harsh man, often buying leather at low prices and selling his shoes at high prices, which offended many people. One day, a young tailor came to the village. He was also skilled in his craft and wanted to settle down in the village. The old shoemaker felt jealous and began to make life difficult for the tailor. He spread rumors, slandered the tailor's character, and deliberately raised the price of leather to make it impossible for the tailor to survive. The tailor tried several times to communicate with the old shoemaker, hoping that he could restrain himself, but the old shoemaker not only refused to listen but also intensified his efforts. Every day, he would go to the tailor's shop and shout loudly, even intimidating the tailor, leaving the surrounding villagers afraid to speak out. Finally, the tailor could not bear it any longer and packed up and left the small mountain village. Although the old shoemaker had successfully driven away his competitor, he had lost the trust of the villagers and was left alone guarding his shoe shop. The consequences of his harsh actions made him regret his actions. From then on, when the villagers talked about the old shoemaker, they would shake their heads in sigh, reminding themselves to be tolerant and magnanimous and not to push others too hard.
