He seemed to smell the sea breeze again, hear the cries of the gulls, and feel the warmth of the sun on the deck. Those experiences that once made his heart pound, could now only be relived in his dreams. A gentle sadness and longing filled him. He closed his eyes and let the tide of memories wash over him. In his dreams, he raised his sails again and sailed towards the sea, full of hope and challenges.
