Her beauty made the moon ashamed and hid; even flowers lowered their heads in shame because of her beauty. One day, Xi Shi was admiring flowers in the imperial garden with a court lady. The court ladies praised Xi Shi's beauty, saying that her face surpassed all the flowers in the world. Xi Shi simply smiled slightly and did not show pride or complacency. Her every frown and smile, her every move, exuded a unique charm that was irresistible. Later, Xi Shi was chosen by King Goujian of Yue as his concubine. Her beauty conquered not only the king, but also the entire kingdom of Wu. Even King Fu Chai of Wu was captivated by her beauty and let his guard down against the kingdom of Yue, ultimately leading to the destruction of Wu. Xi Shi's story has been passed down to this day and is a well-known legend in Chinese history. Her beauty and the suffering she endured have remained unforgettable.
