从前，在一个偏僻的小山村里，住着一个名叫阿土的年轻人。阿土生性孤僻，不喜欢与人交往，总是把自己封闭在一个狭小的世界里。村里发生的事情，他一概不知；村里人议论纷纷的事情，他充耳不闻。他每天把自己关在家里，闭目塞听，仿佛这个世界与他毫无关系。有一天，村里来了个算命先生，他很想去看看，却因为害怕与人接触而迟迟不敢出门，最终错过了这次机会。等到他听说村里发生了什么大事后，才后悔莫及，但一切都太晚了。
Once upon a time, in a remote mountain village, lived a young man named Atu. Atu was inherently solitary and disliked interacting with people, always isolating himself in a small world. He was completely unaware of what happened in the village; he turned a deaf ear to the gossip among the villagers. Every day, he shut himself in his house, closing his eyes and ears, as if the world had nothing to do with him. One day, a fortune teller came to the village. He really wanted to see him, but he was too afraid of human contact to go out, and he eventually missed the opportunity. When he heard about what happened in the village, he regretted it deeply, but it was too late.
