Origin Story
In the Western Han Dynasty, the famous General Li Guang led his troops to fight against the Xiongnu and encountered an enemy far outnumbering them. During the fierce battle, Li Guang's soldiers, seeing the enemy surging towards them like a tidal wave, were scared pale; some even collapsed to the ground. General Li Guang, however, remained calm and composed, giving his orders with unwavering determination. Thanks to his extensive combat experience and superb command, he finally led his soldiers out of the encirclement and achieved victory. Afterward, the soldiers praised Li Guang's courage and composure, seeing him as a role model. This illustrates that even in the most critical moments, maintaining calmness and composure can help one overcome danger. Another soldier, during a patrol, unexpectedly discovered signs of enemy ambush. Terrified, he scrambled back to the camp, reporting the incident. Although his timely report saved the entire camp, his subsequent behavior also confirmed the fear and panic expressed by "face without color."
