He saw corpses everywhere, and he remembered the days and nights he had trained and fought with his comrades. His heart was even more filled with grief. As night fell, a cold wind blew. He huddled on the cold ground, listening to the ghosts crying and gods wailing, and wept silently. He thought of his parents at home, of his younger brothers and sisters, his heart filled with endless longing and regret. He did not know how much longer he could live, nor what he could still do, he could only silently bear this immense pain and sadness. He closed his eyes, and seemed to see the souls of his comrades wandering around him, telling him of their unwillingness and grievances. He vowed to avenge them, to make their sacrifice more meaningful. He struggled to his feet, wiped away his tears, and continued to walk forward. He knew he still had a responsibility, a mission; he could not fall.
