In the Tang Dynasty, a poet named Li Bai was wanted for offending dignitaries. To avoid capture, he decided to disguise himself. He came to a remote village, found an old farmer, and borrowed a set of coarse linen clothes. He cut his long hair short and grew a beard, pretending to be an ordinary farmer. He worked with the villagers every day, living a peaceful life. Day by day, the officers who were pursuing him relaxed their vigilance, and Li Bai was thus able to safely weather this crisis. Later, the political climate at court changed, and Li Bai was able to return to the light, resuming his identity as a poet. This experience of disguise became an unforgettable memory in his life, and gave him a deeper understanding of life.
