Origin Story
It is said that during the Tang Dynasty, the poet Sikong Tu traveled through mountains and rivers, full of praise for nature. In his "Poetry Quality", he wrote: "俯拾即是,不取诸邻." It means that beautiful poetic lines are as numerous as stones on the ground, visible everywhere, and there is no need to search hard for them. One day, Sikong Tu was walking in the fields. A gentle breeze was blowing, and the sun was shining brightly. He saw the farmers working hard, the golden rice ears swaying in the wind, a scene of harvest. He remembered the lines he had written and couldn't help but sigh: This beautiful scenery, this harvest, is everywhere! So he spontaneously recited a poem to celebrate this beautiful scene. Later, people used "俯拾皆是" to describe things that are abundant and easily obtained.
