Origin Story
话说东汉时期,有个叫杜恕的人,为人正直,清廉。他担任司隶校尉时,秉公执法,从不徇私枉法。一次,他的弟弟犯了法,按律当处以极刑。杜恕虽然心里很痛苦,但仍然坚持公正处理,未因私情而有所偏袒。他先公后私的举动,赢得了百姓的敬佩。他去世后,人们纷纷为他立碑颂德,赞扬他高尚的品德。
During the Eastern Han Dynasty, there was a man named Du Shu who was known for his integrity and honesty. When he served as the imperial inspector, he always acted impartially and never allowed personal relationships to influence him. Once, his younger brother violated the law and was supposed to be executed according to the law. Although Du Shu was very distressed, he still insisted on fair treatment and showed no signs of partiality for personal reasons. His actions, which always placed public affairs before personal ones, earned him the admiration of the people. After his death, many people erected memorial stones in his honor, praising his noble morality.
