During the Three Kingdoms period, Lü Meng, a general of Eastern Wu, began to study diligently under the encouragement of Sun Quan. After some time, Lu Su came to inspect, and Lü Meng explained to him in detail the military strategy and put forward many constructive opinions. Lu Su was surprised by Lü Meng's talent and could not help sighing: "If you don't see each other for three days, you should look at each other with new eyes!"
