Legend has it that in ancient times, two large mountains blocked the road to the outside world for Yugong's family. Yugong, who was already ninety years old, decided to lead his family to level the mountains. Many people advised him to give up, believing that this was impossible. But Yugong firmly said: 'I will die, but my sons will live on, and after my sons, my grandsons will come. Generations will follow, without end, and the mountains will not increase. Why should we not level them?' Yugong and his descendants worked tirelessly day and night to level the mountains, and their spirit moved the Emperor of Heaven, who sent deities to help them, finally removing the mountains.
